A pedestrian died after hit by vehicle in Long Island

The SCPD reported a male hit by vehicle died in Greenlawn, Suffolk County, Long Island.

It happened around 12:30am on Park Avenue and Hartland Avenue. A 33 year old female was walking when she was struck by a vehicle, 2012 Honda Accord driven by a male.

The male driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police. Ongoing investigation.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
