While the US Senate is not back in session until September 4, Congress is working on bills to make the United States Postal Service as Election Central. The speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi stated, ?Lives, livelihoods and the life of our American Democracy are under threat from the president.?
President Trump's Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows stated, ?I?ll give you that guarantee right now: The president of the United States is not going to interfere with anybody casting their vote in a legitimate way, whether it?s the post office or anything else,?
On Sunday, Democratic lawmakers demanded that leaders of the Postal Service testify at an emergency oversight hearing Aug. 24 on mail delays.
According to one of the organizer of mail-in votes protests stated, "We need mail in voting because voting in person is too dangerous but we also need "unrest in the streets" until we get it."
