26 and counting on vehicle accidents on Long Island

Both NCPD and SCPD reported 26 serious vehicle accidents on Long Island as of yesterday to Sunday late evening.

This also includes vehicles hitting buildings.

Mastic Beach reported four teens injured with one in critical condition around 1:45am in the vicinity of Neighborhood Road and West Riviera Drive.

A driver was taken into custody this morning for driving the wrong way on the LIE by Exit 36 in Roslyn around 6am hitting multiple vehicles resulting in injuries.

Last night around 10pm, the LIE eastbound was closed after a single crash with two dead by Exit 70 in Manorville after the car went into the woods.

In Deer Park, a wrong-way driver took off after multiple vehicle accidents on Deer Park Avenue. EMS reported 6 people were injured.

Both Northern State Parkway and the LIE reported overturned vehicles in various locations.

This afternoon, a driver hit a building on the Sunrise Highway by Dobson Avenue in Merrick.

In Albertson on Saturday around 3pm, a driver hit the local UPS store by Willis Avenue landing in the hospital from the picture.

All incidents are under investigation.
