2300 million bucks not enough for NYC homeless

The NYC budget for the homeless service is $2.3 billion, that's $2,300 million or better yet, $2,300,000,000.

That's a lot of zeros to end homelessness in NYC with less than 200,000 people but nope. The services for the homeless with people on payroll is a high priority for the government to continue with taxpayer funds.

NYC public school students where 1 in 7 are homeless where 42% are in shelters, 53% temporarily sharing space with other families and 5% unsheltered or living in cars or hotels from time to time according to Advocates for Children of NY. That services alone is $1 billion taxpayer funds.

According to the Coalition for the Homeless, $3 billion per year can solve the crisis short of $700 million but blocked by the majority of NYC Council members to keep the operation stable. Otherwise over 3,500 people working for the homeless services will be unemployed. Ooohhhh that's bad.
