118 preliminary but crime is still down in Queens

The NYPD reported 118 victims of crime over the weekend in Queens alone. Two main crimes are hate and sexual assaults in public transit. For transit crimes, the number 7 train leads the spot.

There were multiple stabbing incidents.

The latest one is in Flushing in the vicinity of 164 Street and 43rd Avenue on Sunday around 10pm.

Police released a surveillance picture of a suspect wanted for stabbing at the Hunters Point subway station on Saturday around 11pm.

Northern Blvd reported multiple shots fired by 74th Street in Jackson Heights.

As for robberies, scooter suspects continue to rise targeting victims mainly on Queens Blvd and Roosevelt Avenue.

All incidents remain under investigation.

Despite the preliminary data on crime, NYC remains a safe city according to the Mayor’s Office.
