117 guns were turned in by volunteers in Jamaica

On August 15, The Queens District Attorney's office in conjunction with NYPD collected 117 guns from people who showed up with them for $200 gift card. On August 15, with no questions asked, people walked into the Greater Springfield Church in Jamaica and gave up the gun. No details whether they are illegal or legal. Due to the success of the program, another event will be held on August 22 at Macedonia Baptist Church at 10am. All guns must be operable and not parts for $200 debit card. This does not include retired law enforcement guns.
