400 million public health lab is moving ahead in NYC

NYC will have a new public health lab and it will cost $400 million. This will be at 22 West 137 Street in Harlem. It will be a 10 story building with 200,000 square feet. Back in 2018, the city announced the plan expected to start operation in 2025 but due to COVID-19, the development is in the work as of today. The existing lab at 455 First Avenue in Kips Bay conducts same day COVID-19 testing but expansion is needed. A date to open will be announced soon.
