250 million to protect riders from being pushed inside the NYC subways

Starting 2024, MTA is moving forth with platform railings to protect subway riders from being pushed or falling down. Three locations have been announced, Sutphin Blvd-JFK station which is heavily used by airport travelers, Third Avenue and Times Square, both in Manhattan.

This came after an innocent lady was pushed to death in 2022 and the solution is platform railings announced by the far left members of the City Council.

This will cost the taxpayers around $250 million.

As part of the pilot program, as of today at 191st Station in upper Manhattan has the platform railings installed.

Since 2022, there were 15 homicides in the subways and the platform railings will prevent such incidents in the future with more taxpayer budgets according to the far left members of the City Council.
