What s the agenda for Monday from Albany on tenants and landlords

Today, both NY Assembly and Senate agreed to the following, eviction protection until June 2021 for COVID impacted tenants only. A new form will be released from Albany without going to court. At the same time, small building owners of both residential and commercial will be spared from foreclosures and liens.

Both Senate and Assembly will vote on those. Again, this is only for COVID impacted buildings. All other eviction mortarium will end January 2021. The new eviction for non-COVID has 40,000 Queens tenants served with either holdover or non-payment to respond before December 31, 2020. Landlords can file for continuance during first week of January 2021.
