Welcome migrants to the vibrant community of Glen Oaks

The NYC Mayor’s Office confirmed migrant relief centers are all set in Glen Oaks. Around 500 migrants are slated to arrive in the Glen Oaks vicinity in the coming weeks.

One of the locations is the Bellerose Jewish Center now registered officially as a migrant relief center on June 21, 2023 in Albany. This is on Union Turnpike and 254th Street next to the long awaiting SNAP Center.

The building has not been sold and still listed on the market as per correction from yesterday.

Additional locations of charity centers in collaboration with nonprofit centers newly created for money for this particular operation are not released pending confirmation. The Dept of State in Albany released names of newly formed nonprofits but wouldn’t disclose services including contracts with the state and city for migrants.

The Mayor’s Office also implied residents can volunteer with migrants by providing them with blankets, homemade food and storytelling. However, additional information whether it's male adults, family or children coming to Glen Oaks has not been released for their safety from community backlash and protests.
