Victim of fatal car crash in Wantagh identified

The Homicide Squad reports on a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 10:10 AM in Wantagh.
According to Detectives, a 32-year-old male employee at the Merrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge service center, located at 3588 Sunrise Highway was struck by a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by a 20-year-old male employee as he was backing up. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital by a Nassau County Police Ambulance where he was soon after pronounced by hospital physicians. The driver of the vehicle remained at scene. The investigation is ongoing.

The above male victim has been identified as Daniel Cicio, 32, of Levittown.
