Victim died from injuries after struck by vehicle in Mineola

Police reported the victim struck by vehicle in Mineola on September 13 around 10:16am has died. She has been identified as Helen Skelos, 60 of Lynbrook. According to detectives, a female was crossing the street east bound on Mineola Blvd. at 2nd Street when she was struck by a 2004 Dodge Ram, which was making the left turn from 2nd Street. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
