Vehicle break ins reported in Bellerose

Police reported of multiple vehicle break-ins in Bellerose. The incidents were reported in the vicinity of Union Turnpike between Commonwealth Blvd and 249 Street including inside streets. Most of the vehicles had glass shattered with personal items missing. One resident reported Carbide breaker was found next to the vehicle. Residents are advised not to keep personal items inside their vehicles.
