Vehicle accident with one dead in Long Island

The SCPD reported a multiple vehicle accident in Dix Hills with one dead. This is in the vicinity of Commack Road near the LIE service road. The incident was reported this morning around 9am.

Police say the collision involving a truck resulted with another vehicle's driver pinned inside. ESU removed the driver from the vehicle and the EMS declared the victim dead. The medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

The truck driver was not injured and remained on the scene to continue to cooperate with the investigation.
