Veggie processed food launched at NYC hospitals

The NYC Mayor announced three hospitals, H+H/Lincoln, Metropolitan, and Woodhull Hospitals will have veggie processed meals as option. The Mayor calls it culturally diverse plant-based meals. This is now available for primary dinner options for inpatients.

One of the dish is southern black-eye pea casserole with plant based corn bread topped with plant based shredded cheese seen in the picture.

Non-plant-based options continue to be available and are offered in accordance with a patient’s prescribed diet
