Update on the fatal accident in Glen Oaks with one dead

Police reported the incident on the corner of 264 Street and 79th Avenue was a hit and run.

It happened on November 15 around 10:45pm in Glen Oaks.

Two people inside the vehicle that was on the scene were a 19 and 21 years old males in a 2017 Honda Civic.

The 19 year old died after serious injuries. Police reported the Civic was heading south 264 Street when the 19 year old passed the stop sign and hit another vehicle, a 2008 Honda Accord. From there, the driver of Accord, a 44 year old male hit a parked vehicle and then took off. The vehicle was then stopped at 264 Street near Union Turnpike. Ongoing investigation.
