Update on the Roosevelt Field Mall incident

Here is the latest gathered. While the Nassau County Detectives were conducting the investigation, from sources gathered, around 6:30pm calls came in for a shooting by the Nordstrom location at the Roosevelt Field Mall.

A witness stated a couple were walking into Nordstrom from the parking garage at the second floor. This is when two suspects going to their vehicle yelled at the couple for parking close to the Mercedes. The couple had a BMW vehicle. Another witness stated there was a dent on the Mercedes accusing the couple.

The Mercedes owners, both males and blacks, rushed into the vehicle and took out a gun and fired three shots, missing the couple. The bullets hit three different locations at the store.

Then both males took off in the Mercedes toward Meadowbrook State Parkway but shortly a witness stated the vehicle was stopped by police.

After a long while, police cuffed five males, black and both vehicles was seen in the parking lot towing for investigation.

Police wouldn't disclose if both vehicles were involved or if the suspects are in custody along with the couple due to ongoing investigation.
