UPDATE State Police arrest Gloversville man following child sexual abuse investigation

On October 27, 2026, Michael A. Calhoun was additionally charged with:

Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a class “A” felony

Criminal Sexual Act 1st, a class “B” felony

Rape 1st, a class “B’ felony

During the continued investigation, investigators identified an additional victim. Both victims were under the age of 11 at the time they were reportedly sexually assaulted by Calhoun. The reported sexual assaults occurred in Gloversville and Mayfield.

Calhoun was produced from the Saratoga County Correctional Facility and transported to SP Mayfield for processing. He was then arraigned at the Mayfield Town Court and returned to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility.

On October 12, 2026, State Police arrested Michael A. Calhoun, 55, of Gloversville, NY, for:

Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a class “A” felony

Two counts of Rape 1st, a class “B” felony

Sexual Abuse 1st, a class “D” felony

On January 19, 2026, Investigators received information indicating sexual contact between a child and an adult man. The investigation determined that in January 2026, Calhoun reportedly had sexual contact with a child under the age of 11 while in Galway.

Calhoun was arrested at SP Latham and transported to SP Mayfield for processing. He was then arraigned in Charlton Town Court, where he was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.

The investigation is ongoing.
