Two years and 10 million later for poor GCP

The NY governor announced the construction of Grand Central Parkway connected entrance and exit ramps between Francis Lewis Blvd and 188 Street is complete. The construction started in 2020 and cost taxpayers $10 million. The reconfigured exits and entrances will enhance safety and ease congestion primarily ofr NYPD's Highway Patrol Unit 3.

But that's not it. According to DOT, other improvements within the project limits include new LED lighting, pavement markings, guiderails and concrete barriers. While major construction has been completed, finishing work - including landscaping and drainage cleaning - will take place within the project limits this fall.
