Two separate death investigations in Long Island

For Nassau County, the NCPD reported a male was found dead in Merrick. Calls came in on Thursday around 5:30pm in the vicinity of Merrick Commons at the back parking lot where a van was found with an unresponsive male. EMS declared the male dead and the medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy. Police say the incident does not appear to be suspicious at this time.

In Suffolk County, the SCPD reported a male, 74 years old, died after a vehicle accident in Commack in the vicinity of Larkfield Road. The incident was reported yesterday around 6pm. Police say the driver possibly suffered a medical episode.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
