Two men busted for homicide in Plainview

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an incident that occurred on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 5:30 pm in Plainview.

According to detectives, a 911 call was initiated for a shooting victim in front of a Margaret Drive E. residence. Officers responded to the scene and a 27 year old male, who was the victim of gunshot wounds, was transported to an area hospital. The victim then succumbs to those injuries and was pronounced deceased by a staff physician. His identity is not being released at this time and the investigation into the incident continues.

Detectives believe a light-colored vehicle may be involved in the incident and request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.

Update on the identity - The Homicide Squad has identified the above victim as Justin Gottlieb of Plainview.

Update on February 6, 2020

The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of Douglas Coudrey, 22 of Eastport and Kenneth Regan, 21 of Centereach for the above listed incident.

Both are being charged with Murder 2nd Degree and will be arraigned today at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead. (From NCPD)
