Two dead after wrong way collision on the WE in Queens

The Whitestone Expressway was closed around 2:15am last night after a wrong-way vehicle collided with another one resulting in two deaths.

This is near Ulmer Street in Whitestone.

Police sources stated a black Honda Pilot was traveling the wrong way and struck a Honda HRE. The driver of the HRE and the Pilot died after the impact.

Two others from HRE were taken to a local hospital.

Ongoing investigation.
