Transit crime is up by 40 in NYC

More victims are increasing inside the NYC subways. Between January 1 and October 31 this year, 1,917 crimes were reported in the NYC subway compared to 1,367 last year. That's up by 40%.

Despite the increasing crimes and more patrols added, robberies are the number one crime spiking daily.

Police are looking for this suspect wanted for stabbing and robbing a commuter at the F station in Herald Square. It happened on November 22 around 10pm. The victim was approached by the suspect asking for a smoke and then robbed him. When the victim fought back, he was stabbed in the torso. The suspect is male, 6'5" around 240lbs.
