Tragic event in Nassau County

Police are at Terrace Court near Willets Road in Albertson reporting a woman, 70 year old, died after she was mauled by the family dog. The dog is about 7 years old. It happened around 1:15pm. The dog belongs to the son who recently died in a motorcycle accident.
