Trace test and treatment update in NYC

100 tracers are active in NYC reaching out to anyone who was tested positive within 10 minutes or more.
Here is the latest - When someone tested positive, the result is send to a state database which is accessible to contact tracers. Consent is NOT required by patients tested positive. For patients tested positive, they have option to live in assigned hotels by the city under NYC's isolation program. Tested patients have the right to refuse but that is not mentioned to them, instead a guideline will be stated they can be enforced and other fine print implying mandatory. At the same time, patients tested positive in public centers have their details in the database for contact tracers to track someone POSSIBLY infected but cooperation is not mandatory. The city is on track to have 20,000 tests per day by June 1 and 50,000 by August 1.
