Tony Avella filed to run for his old NYC Council seat

On August 27, former State Senate and City Council member, Tony Avella filed with NY Board of Elections. This time he is running for the City Council seat held by Paul Vallone. Vallone is running for Queens Borough President position if the current president Melinda Katz wins the Queens DA position. The position represents Auburndale, Bay Terrace, Bayside, Beechhurst, College Point, Douglaston, Flushing, Little Neck, Malba and Whitestone. From 2002 to 2009, Avella was the City Council member of the same location. Then from 2011 to 2018, he was the State Senate until he lost to John Liu.
