Third track is live by LIRR

The NY Governor was in New Hyde Park today to announce the opening of the LIRR's third track between Queens Village to Merillon Avenue today. This is the first section as part of the $2.6 billion project consisting of 9 miles.

The next section extends to Hicksville.

All stations are now equipped with new signs, canopies, benches, CCTV, charging stations for phones and more.

The project also has more trains added for faster times and less delays.
