Thieves are targeting unlocked vehicles inside the parking lot of Bellerose

Thieves are targeting unlocked vehicles inside the parking lot of Bellerose Commons. There were reported of thefts inside the parking lot at Jericho Turnpike and 251st Street. Police stated items were missing from vehicles and perp(s) usually look for open windows or unlocked doors. More than dozens of vehicle owners reported of their items went missing during July and awaiting for reports for August. Police are advising all to lock windows and doors at all times.
