The largest high school to open changed year in Woodside

The location, 51-30 Northern Blvd in Woodside will be moved to the 2025-26 school year for opening after the expected plan for 2023 is changed due to the pandemic.

This is the location of the former Sports Authority which was demolished a while back. The 6 story, 3,079 student high school with 94 classrooms is the largest ever constructed by NYC School Construction Authority.

The school will serve three high school programs and will be called High School 472. This is within school district 30, which covers from Long Island City and Astoria to Woodside and parts of Jackson Heights.
