Suspect wanted for robbing a 11 year old in Briarwood

Police released details of a suspect wanted for robbing a 11 year old inside a public school in Briarwood. It happened on Wednesday around 2:30pm at Van Wyck Junior High School. The suspect displayed a knife after walking into the middle school and confronted the boy inside a bathroom. When demanding cash, the kid didn’t have any and took off the boy’s water bottle. The kid wasn't injured and after notifying the school safety agent, the suspect managed to escape on foot. The same day shortly, the same suspect tried to attack another victim. This time it’s a male, 51 near 85th Road and 148 Street. The victim was slashed multiple times after confrontation and threw the water bottle stolen from the kid before running off. Police described the suspect as male, Hispanic, 5’2”, 110lbs. Ongoing investigation.
