Suspect wanted for carjacking in Floral Park

Police are in Floral Park searching for a suspect wanted for carjacking. The incident started in Elmont when the suspect, male, black approached the victim at the driveway of a home. Then took off with the vehicle. The male victim followed the suspect with another vehicle tracking down to Home Depot parking lot on Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont. When police arrived there, the suspect escaped with the stolen vehicle and a chase followed. Shorty the suspect crashed the vehicle toward a home on Arthur Avenue cul de sac block in Floral Park. Then the suspect took off on foot now searching in the area.

EMS is attending to those from the home where the vehicle crashed.
