Suspect on the hunt for reckless act in Bellerose

The NYPD is on Braddock Avenue in Bellerose reporting a driver took off after the car went on fully fire. This is by 90th Avenue near the local school playground.

Police say the vehicle was noted stolen and may have been in a pursuit on the Cross Island Parkway which may explain why the suspect took off on foot toward Braddock Avenue to Winchester Blvd.

EMS reported no injuries.

Firefighters are working on the scene.

The investigation continues.
