Suspect nabbed for sexually attacking six joggers at Forest Park

Police arrested Mark Andrade, 46 of Richmond Hill and in custody awaiting charges. He has been charged with one attack which occurred on March 29, 2013 for attempted rape of a 24 year female victim. Andrade allegedly sneaked behind the victim while running and sexually attacked her while pointing a stun gun. During the altercation, the woman took out the beer bottle and threw it at the scene. The arrest came after six years investigation from a DNA that identified Andrade after matching prints from a beer bottle near the scene. Since NYPD was unable to locate Andrade, Nassau County police arrested him on grand larceny charges and that's when NYPD was notified. The incidents took place between 2011 and 2013 in the daytime including a 13 year old female victim. The last incident was on August 26, 2013 when a 69 year old woman was raped in the park.
