Suspect in custody after stolen vehicle in Hollis Hills

A suspect while driving on Union Turnpike eastbound in a stolen vehicle was ordered to stop after police sirens but refused to do so. The initial investigation started at the local park on 196 Street when call came in for a missing vehicle.

The suspect stopped the vehicle by Bell Blvd and took off on foot.

Shortly police tracked the suspect to Peck Avenue where he was apprehended.

Union Turnpike has minor delays due to police vehicles.
