Suspect busted for attempted murder after Roosevelt High School lockdown in Nassau County

Nassau County Police report the details of an arrest for Attempted Murder that occurred on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. in Roosevelt.

According to police, First Precinct patrol officers responded for a call of shots fired at Roosevelt Middle School, located at 335 East Clinton Avenue. Upon arrival police were directed to a nearby house where they were told the suspect had fled. Emergency Services and Bureau of Special Operations responded and after a thorough investigation placed Lennox London, 36, of 46 Bauer Avenue, Roosevelt under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported. An execution of a search warrant on the defendant?s home resulted in the recovery of a semi-automatic handgun.

Defendant Lennox London is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at First District Court, Main Street, in Hempstead. (From NCPD)
