Suspect arrested after chase and shooting at police in Long Island

Police reported a suspect, male refused traffic stop in Long Island. This is on Harrison Street in Uniondale when the incident was alerted around 12:45am last night. Police followed the vehicle after robbery check of the matching description. This is when the suspect fired shots at the police after ordered to pull over. Afterward the suspect took off on foot. Then tried to fire from his gun but didn't go off. Then pointed the gun to his own head but again, didn't go off. No officers were hit.

Shortly the suspect was taken into custody. Ongoing investigation.
