Suspect arrested after burglary attempt in Great Neck

Police arrested Kevin Avalos-Melendez, 21 of Great Neck and charged with second degree burglary. The incident happened on Wednesday, December 20 arund 1am. The home owner on Beach Road reported to 911 when he saw Avalos-Melendez in the back yard. Police arrived on time and he took off when he was approached. Later he was taken into custody after locating him on Middle Neck Road.
