Supreme Court made the ruling making one part of New Yorkers sad

The US Supreme Court just ruled this afternoon, the Trump Administration can use the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to deport migrants who have been arrested for crimes within classifications nationwide including NYC. The vote was still 5 to 4. It was temporarily halted by federal judges mainly Democrats in district courts partly.

Now the NYC Mayoral candidates from Zohran Mamdani, Brad Lander, Adrienne Adams to Jessica Ramos are sad of the SCOTUS ruling.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security, FBI and other law enforcement are expected to arrive in major cities starting tonight. NYC is expected to see more troops despite the Governor opposed to the deportations of those with criminal records.

As for Queens, residents of Little Neck in the vicinity of Glen Oaks and Douglaston have been alerting law enforcement of increasing burglaries from migrants and have responded by waiting for ICE to show up after the SCOTUS ruling.

Still waiting on the enforcement update.
