Suffolk County father and son found dead in Virginia

On Tuesday afternoon around 4pm, police reported Jovani Ligurgo, 2 year old reported missing by his mother. From there, police contacted the child's father, John Ligurgo, 43 but no response. The child's mother stated there was an ongoing custody battle. The child was dropped off at 7am to the father's home in Coram by his mother who lives in Smithtown. Around 3pm, firefighters arrived at the home reporting fire that maybe suspicious. Police confirmed both father and son went missing when they couldn't find them inside the home after the fire. A vehicle with NY plates, GAV4699 was seen leaving from Coram to Whitestone where Ligurgo's parents live. Then on George Washington Bridge heading 95 South from surveillance camera. As of Wednesday, Suffolk County police confirmed the same vehicle was found in Rockbridge County, Virginia with two dead bodies inside. Identification are underway to confirm both father and son.
