Student arrested at a local Long Island school for threats

The SCPD reported a student was arrested today for allegedly making threats on social media at the local high school in Huntington. Police received a tip from an anonymous source and went to the local high school on Oakwood around 11:30am. The alleged threat was made earlier and the student, female, 18, was taken into custody.

Charges are pending.

There was no lockdown or any other issues at the school.

The investigation continues
