Stolen vehicle crashed into a house in Floral Park suspect ran off

The Fifth Squad is investigating a Grand Larceny that occurred in South Floral Park on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 8:22 am.
According to detectives, officers responded to an Arthur Avenue residence for an auto accident involving a car that struck a home. Upon police arrival, officers observed a 2 -door white sedan Honda that had struck a home causing substantial structural damage. The unknown driver fled the scene prior to police arrival. There were no injuries reported at scene.
Further investigation revealed that the auto was stolen earlier from a Hill Avenue residence in which another homeowner left his car running unattended and noticed an unknown person enter the vehicle and drive away. The investigation is ongoing.
The male subject is described as being male, black, late teens, dark hooded sweatshirt, black sneakers, and dark pants.
Detectives request that anyone with information regarding the above crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1–800–244-TIPS or dial 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
