State police arrest hudson falls man for possessing child exploitation material

On July 23, 2026, State Police of Queensbury, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, arrested Kenneth L. Bates, 51, of Hudson Falls, NY, for Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” felony.

Bates is accused of possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Bates was arrested and processed at SP Queensbury. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Kingsbury Town Court and released.
