State Police investigate a larceny from a vehicle complaint in the town of Oswegatchie

On April 21, 2025, State Police arrested 25-year-old Austin M. Eggleson from Ogdensburg, NY, for multiple offenses, including criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, possession of a stolen credit card, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

On April 20, 2025, at approximately 11:31 a.m. Troopers responded to a larceny complaint on State Highway 812 in the town of Oswegatchie. The St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department had already taken Eggleson into custody for an active warrant. During a search, officers discovered a credit card and a knife on him, neither of which belonged to him. The Deputy contacted the State Police to report these findings, related to the ongoing larceny investigation concerning the stolen items.

The investigation confirmed that Eggleson was in possession of the stolen credit card and knife.
