State Police in Troop G make notable DWI arrests 4 16 4 21

On April 16, 2025, at about 9:17 p.m., State Police assigned to the Northway Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on I-87 in Malta, NY, for a violation of the Move Over Vehicle and Traffic Law.  The driver was identified as Barbara L. Montag, 50, of Ballston Lake, NY.  Montag was arrested for Driving While intoxicated and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On April 19, 2025, at about 6:37 p.m., State Police of Schodack stopped a vehicle on State Route 9 in Schodack, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. The driver was identified as Shawn P. Curley, 49, of Castleton on Hudson, NY.  While being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Vehicle and Traffic Law violations, Curley was found to possess a Controlled Substance and also charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the seventh degree.

On April 20, 2025, at about 7:31 p.m., State Police of Brunswick responded to the reports of a one-car crash off the roadway of State Route 67 in Pittstown, NY.  The driver was identified as Paul R. Qua, 60, of Johnsonville, NY. Qua was arrested for Driving While Impaired by drugs and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.

On April 21, 2025, at about 11:55 p.m., State Police assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol responded to the reports of a one-car rollover crash off the roadway of Interstate 90 in East Greenbush, NY.  The driver was identified as Donna N. Scott, 48, of Albany, NY.  Two adult passengers and a child passenger under the age of 17 were also located in the vehicle at the time of the crash. All were transported to Albany Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Scott was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra’s Law), Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and other Vehicle and Traffic Law violations. She refused to provide a sample to determine the alcohol content of her blood and was released to the hospital staff.
