State Police arrest Vermont man following Jackson Burglary investigation

On January 13, 2026, State Police in Greenwich arrested Tyler D. Galipeau, 44, of Bennington, VT, for Burglary 2nd, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th, and Resisting Arrest.

On January 13, 2026, at about 6:34 a.m. Troopers responded to the report of an active burglary of a home in Jackson. Troopers arrived at the house and determined it was empty. A search of the area located Galipeau hiding in the woods nearby alongside State Route 22. He initially resisted arrest but was taken into custody. The investigation determined that Galipeau allegedly entered the unoccupied home, took an item from within, and then fled the location on foot. The stolen item was recovered from Galipeau upon his arrest.
