State Police arrest New Jersey man on Felony sex charges

On January 28, 2026, the New York State Police at Livingston arrested Ryan A. Hand, 23, of West Milford, New Jersey, for Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor 1st, a class D felony and Rape 3rd, a class E felony,

On January 22, 2026, troopers received information reporting inappropriate sexual contact between an adult male and a minor. An investigation determined that Hand had sexual contact with a child under the age of 17 while in the Town of Gallatin, New York, in 2025.

Hand was arraigned in Gallatin Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25, 2026, at 4 p.m.
