Springfield Gardens resident found dead in Long Island beach

The body of Jevoney White, 19 of Springfield Gardens was found by The Coast Guard after he went missing on Sunday, July 30 around 6:45pm. After massive search, the body was recovered by Monday around 6:45am at Old Inlet Breach off the Fire Island. White's friends went to the beach and while in the water, the tide was strong causing to miss him when the alert was announced. White has been in USA for only three years after emigrating from Jamaica and was attending high school.
