Single crash resulted two deaths on the SSP

The NCPD reported a single vehicle crash with two dead on the Southern State Parkway. It happened around 1:15am by Exit 40 eastbound. According to police, speed was the factor when the vehicle lost control and hit a tree causing a car fire.

The male driver, 45 died at the scene. A passenger, female, 35 died at the local hospital. The parkway was cleared in the morning for the rush hour.
