Shake shake shake and some more shake in Astoria

This morning around 6am, there were reports of underground explosions on Roosevelt Island. From detailed investigation, this was an earthquake that shaked some areas of Queens, mainly Astoria and some parts of Manhattan.

According to the US Geological Survey, there was a reported 1.7 magnitude earthquake. There were no injuries. There were calls of one building shaking near the explosion.

Also FDNY reported no flames or injuries and reported the explosion may be electrical that occurred underground.

Any earthquake below 2.5 magnitude is considered very small.

The investigation continues.
