Second victim died from hit and run in South Ozone Park

Police confirmed the second victim, male, 71, a passenger in a vehicle that was slammed by a hit and run suspect has died. The driver of the same vehicle, male, 64, died yesterday. The incident was reported on Monday around 4:30am on 117th Street and 111th Avenue in South Ozone Park. Police have the suspect in custody, male, 22 and charged with slew of charges including DWI.

Now neighbors living in the vicinity are preparing for two funerals of long time residents remembered.
